Hello, I'm Natalie! My journey in education began at Purdue University, where I pursued a degree in Early Childhood Education with a focus on Exceptional Needs. I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education and had the privilege of completing my student teaching with a vibrant second-grade class at a Title I school in Austin, TX. This invaluable experience sparked a passion in me for teaching young minds, leading me to teach 3rd grade for the next two years—a period filled with joy, love, and growth!
Throughout my career in the general education classroom, I have had the opportunity to work with a diverse array of students, including those with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans. I have gained extensive experience in supporting students with severe emotional disorders, ADHD, and anxiety, always striving to create an inclusive and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
As the landscape of education shifted, with more families opting for online or homeschooling, I saw a unique opportunity to make a deeper impact. This led me to dedicate my efforts fully to one-on-one tutoring, providing personalized support to bridge the educational gaps that have emerged over the past few years.
My passion lies in helping students who face daily challenges in the classroom yet possess a strong desire to succeed. I pride myself on finding creative and engaging ways to connect with each student, understanding that building trust takes patience and time. Currently, I work with students from Pre-K to 6th grade, with a special focus on those in grades K-3.
My mission is to empower every student I work with, helping them to not only meet but exceed their educational goals. By fostering a supportive and inspiring learning environment, I aim to cultivate a love for learning that will last a lifetime.
Starting in August of 2022, I began working outside of the classroom! I have extensive experience privately teaching for homeschooling families, working with over 10 children individually from various families in the Palm Beach area. My students range from Kindergarten to 6th grade, and I tailor my approach to meet each child's unique learning needs. I have experience teaching virtually for families who travel, so I am willing to adapt to any environment!
I have worked with the Good and Beautiful curriculum, Spectrum, FLVS Flex, and Holston Academy programs, in addition to the standard curriculum and textbooks in the Florida schools.
